FROM CHENNAI TO THE STUDIO
Hi, I'm Aditi.
I moved to the US when I was five, but every summer we returned to Chennai for three months to study Carnatic classical music. Playing violin taught me patience, repetition, and how much I could express with my hands.
Years later, I wanted to keep making something I could physically hold. ADITI® grew from that feeling. Today, my amma and appa are part of our main studio in my parents’ New Jersey basement, my sister Surya joins me on this venture, and I develop new work in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Made of light.
At the center of our emblem, a craftswoman is reflected: two sides of making, skill and effort. The lamp holds the light between them; flowers and a sun surround the work.
The sun changes form across the Classic Collection, giving each fragrance a symbol of its own.
Many ideas, one mark.
Our identity brings together self-reflection, symbols of energy and growth, and custom lettering in Latin and Tamil.

The maker, mirrored.
The two figures reflect the skill and effort that meet in the act of making.
Light takes shape.
The sun, lamp, spark and geometric forms carry the sense of energy and growth through the mark.

One name, two scripts.
Latin and Tamil lettering share a visual language, with distinct display and text forms. The small details carry through both.

A sun for every scent.
Surya is my sister's name and a name for the sun. She joins me in ADITI. Each fragrance carries its own sun, drawn from the memory, place, or feeling behind the scent.

What takes shape next
I’m also exploring sculptural candles: designing forms, making my own silicone molds, testing and starting over. That curiosity is part of the practice. ADITI® carries my name, but my family makes this venture possible, and I hope what we make earns a place in your home.
